Person-centred counselling is a non-directive talking therapy, whereby you choose what you want to talk about with me working alongside you at your own pace. Therapy enables you to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions and enables you to make changes so you can move forward.
We all have times in our life when we feel we need that extra bit of support or just somebody who will listen and won’t judge, criticise or try to force you to think in a particular way. Therapy can provide you with that support.
We are all individuals with our own thoughts, feelings and emotions. You are the expert on you. Its your life, your choices!
For some clients I incorporate aspects of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which enables them to explore changing their behaviours.
For some children & young people I incorporate play/art therapy into the sessions; this can help them feel more relaxed and enable them to express what they feeling in their own way.
Each session is up to an hour long for over 18’s and up to 45 minutes for under 18’s. You can talk about whatever you feel is a priority for you at the time of the session as each week can be different. The number of sessions you have is entirely up to you, you don’t have to commit to more than one session.
